BONNIE ABRAMS TRAVIESO
Bonnie Abrams Travieso opened her law offices on April 1, 2002 , after having practiced at Gallagher, Evelius & Jones, LLP for almost twenty years and heading its Estates and Trusts practice. She continues to work with that firm and her large clientele in a more personalized atmosphere and convenient location. Ms. Travieso continues to focus her practice on estate planning, including assisting owners of closely-held businesses with succession planning, planned charitable giving and the administration of estates and trusts.
Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Travieso served as an Assistant Attorney General for the Maryland Attorney General’s Office where she was the Counsel to the Clerks of the Circuit Courts, the Registers of Wills, and the Orphans’ Courts. This experience and her over twenty years in private practice have allowed Ms. Travieso to develop expertise in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration.

Affiliations include Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland Estate Planning Council and the Chesapeake Planned Giving Counsel (Board Member). She is a co-author of the “Maryland Death Taxes” chapter of Maryland Taxes, published by the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers.

Carl Ziegler
Carl Ziegler has been practicing law in Maryland for over twelve years. Prior to partnering with Bonnie, Carl worked as a senior associate for the Law Offices of Todd K. Mohink, P.A., where his practice focused on Estates & Trusts, Family Law, and Criminal Law. Carl lead the merger of Mr. Mohink’s practice with the firm of Barnstorf & Barnstorf. Many of the Barnstorf clients Carl worked with had been with them for three or four generations, and he continues to work with them as of counsel for Mr. Mohink’s firm. Carl is excited to work with Bonnie and hopes to keep that same continuity working with Bonnie’s clients. A resident of Maryland for 35 years, Carl currently lives in Baltimore City with his wife and two sons.
